Junior Matt Zweighaft Earns Eagle Scout

Barnstable junior, Matt Zweighaft, has earned the highest award in Boy Scouts: the rank of Eagle Scout.

A member of Boy Scouts since 2003, Matt has had a very successful scouting career, earning numerous merit badges, logging countless community service hours, and holding leadership positions in his troop. For his Eagle project, Matt created a “butterfly oasis,” working with the Ramsey Shade Tree Commission, the Ramsey Borough Administrator, and the Ramsey Borough Council.

In addition to scouting, Matt is a member of the varsity soccer team at Barnstable, attended the Bergen County Youth Police Academy, and has received multiple volunteering awards.
