
James Johnson

Barnstable Academy welcomed Mr. Johnson in 2011. Mr. Johnson, an Oxford University graduate from the prestigious Joint Honours Programme in French and Spanish teaches foreign language. Mr. Johnson comes to Barnstable with a degree in the highest level of study, combining in-depth literary and philosophical studies with advanced translation, conversation, and target language essay writing.
While in college, Mr. Johnson won the Fluchere Prize for the best essay written in French and earned three additional Collections Prizes for academic excellence. An avid soccer player, he was a member of Hull City AFC Centre for Excellence and attended International Academy in association with Real Madrid FC. Mr. Johnson was also named Oxford's "College Soccer Player of the Year".
Prior to arriving to the United States, Mr. Johnson taught in Burgos, Spain as well as in Paris, France.
