DESCRIPTION:Download Event Information \nWhat is an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and what determines if a child is eligible to receive one? If they are eligible\, what does this process look like? How does this impact identifying which program or school will best support my child? Come join us on January 19\, 2023 at 7:00pm when we welcome Special Education Attorney Mariann Crincoli to our campus to share insights into the ABCs of IEPs. \nMariann Crincoli is a partner with Sussan Greenwald & Wesler\, a boutique law firm specializing in special education matters. She has worked in both law firm and in-house settings over the last 25 years. She passionately devotes her practice to representing families who have children with special needs\, including counseling clients in the areas of special education\, student discipline. Ms. Crincoli also represents families of children who are involved in harassment\, intimidation and bullying matters. Ms. Crincoli previously represented public school districts throughout the State of New Jersey and offers a unique insight into the challenges faced by families when disputes arise. Ms. Crincoli also represented mentally incapacitated persons\, as well as premier hospital systems in guardianship matters. And\, she served as general counsel to two preeminent non-profit organizations who provided educational and social services to the underprivileged. She has also recently published articles regarding special education residential placements and frequently lectures on special education topics. Ms. Crincoli received her law degree from Seton Hall University and her undergraduate degree from Seton Hall University where she graduated summa cum laude. She is a member of the New Jersey Bar Association and is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Mariann is also a Board of Trustee of Children’s Aid and Family Services of Paramus.
