Barnstable Academy Speaker Series With Dr. Buzz Mingin
November 18 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Join us for an Evening with Dr. Buzz Mingin, as he presents “It Takes A Team to Develop A Team”.
Dr. Buzz Mingin provides a hands-on, interactive presentation designed to help school personnel, students, and families better understand and support the unique needs of developing teens. It takes a team to develop a team, and when schools and families build a strong, trusting partnership, students are better positioned to navigate the academic, social, emotional, and psychological challenges of adolescence. Participants will learn practical tools for recognizing and managing mental health concerns, stress, and trauma while promoting healthy communication, cooperation, self-esteem, and emotional development. The presentation emphasizes how effective communication and collaboration among all stakeholders can help students feel supported, understood, and empowered to develop greater independence and resilience. Ultimately, Dr. Buzz helps schools and families create a unified approach that strengthens trust, supports student well-being, and provides teens with the foundation they need to thrive.
Dr. Buzz Mingin is a certified school social worker with over 30 years of experience in education, having conducted more than 4,000 educational, academic, and school-related seminars and workshops throughout his career.
