Spanish I is a fun and vibrant course that covers an array of language and cultural aspects. Students will soon notice their progression in the target language, as we develop all 4 key skills. We focus on establishing the basics in the first few months, then move into wider areas of comprehension and grammar. By the end of the year, students will have an extensive range of vocabulary learned, be able to identify and use at least three tenses, and will have tuned their ears into authentic materials. Students will also delve into the cultures of the Spanish speaking world with travel projects, history, and contemporary issues.
Spanish II builds upon knowledge gained in Spanish 1. Students will perfect key grammar points, revisit familiar vocabulary, and will, of course, push themselves further into the Spanish language. Spanish 2 is accompanied by a textbook and a grammar workbook. These are fantastic learning resources, full of challenging activities for a Spanish 2 learner. These resources will also help the students gain a better understanding of not only the Spanish language, but also social issues such as politics, the environment, and the economy.
